pretty much every manufacturer has embraced the 18 by 9 aspect ratio now it's Nokia's turn and they've hit the ground running with a mid-range ER with a flagship quality build this is the Nokia 7 plus from the front you might mistake it for a pixel to excel but turn it over and the design language is entirely Nokia's the phones made from a single piece of aluminum covered with a ceramic feeling coating and copper edges the results an elegant looking device with no awkward antenna lines it's comfortable in the hand thanks the matte texture and rounded edges and it feels as solid as a rock sadly LX waterproofing unlike the Nokia 8 Sirocco so it's not entirely nindestructible the six inch LCD is sharp and has a beautiful color reproduction with no color shifting it also promises 500 nits of max brightness so sunlight legibility should be great on the audio front the seven plus only has a single

speaker it's next to the USB C port andit sounds alright we're glad to see the headphone jack is still here unlike the Nokia eight Sirocco the Nokia seven plus features four gigabytes of RAM and the Snapdragon 660 the fastest mid-range chipset out at the moment that in combination with stock Oreo means the seven plus is quite zippy and thanks to the Android 1 programit'll be among the first phones to get the latest updates the nokia 7 plus comes with 64 gigabytes of storage but there's also a card slot one of the best parts of this phone is its 3800 milliamp battery nokia promises 14.5 hours of screen on time but we'll see how long it

actually lasts the phone has two primary cameras one with a 1.75 aperture and the other with a 2.6 aperture that allows for two times optical zoom it's interesting to compare to the Google pixel 2 and low-light since the two share the same camera specs but we'll hold off on judging samples for

now since this is not a review ready device the nokia seven-plus also has a new pro camera mode which we'll explore in depth in the full review the phone shoots video at 4k at 30 frames per second the seven-plus also features three microphones so audio recording

should be superb the 16 megapixel front camera takes good selfies and can shoot 1080p video at 30 frames per second the nokia 7 plus is slated for release in April of this year at a very reasonable 400 euro will it be the mid-range err to have this year we can't be sure just yet but it seems extremely promising subscribe and stay tuned for our full review
